ANNUAL REPORT 2006 They feast in the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. Continue your love to those who know you; your righteousness to the upright in heart. (Ps. 36:8-10)In these words King David acknowledges the providence of God which is abundant. He declares that the Lord through his mercy and loving kindness protects, feeds and refreshes his people. Water is a symbol of purity, freshness and life. Those who are unclean are cleansed through purifying water; those who are thirsty quench their physical thirst by drinking from clean and refreshing water. Let us remember God is called the “fountain of living water” (Jer. 2:13) and Jesus declares that the water he gives becomes …a spring of water that wells up to eternal life (John 4:14) so that we may be cleansed, refreshed, renewed and receive the Holy Spirit to be instruments for noble purpose to the master prepared to do good work. (2 Tim.2:21) Now a brief report of our Ministry follows.Addis Hewot Ministries has been able to give uninterrupted spiritual services through out the year. Sunday worship services continued throughout the year as was the case for Saturday Bible Study and worship services. Two spiritual conferences and one retreat planned for spiritual revival have been conducted. Almost all the members as well as several other guests participated in the programs.Invited guest speakers and singers came with powerful spiritual messages we believe the participants were able to benefit a great deal from. Several members participated in a special Bible study program prepared to encourage participation and equip members with knowledge of the Bible. Several participating members have expressed their appreciation and we are thankful for that. Members were able to receive Holy Communion several times a year. Plan to start a Sunday school for children has been implemented during the year under review. Now Sunday school kids have good opportunity to learn the word of God. Addis Hewot Ministries Website has been receiving encouraging hits and comments. We believe those who are visiting the site are benefiting from the services being provided through the Internet. Members’ spiritual, financial and material support has been very helpful to carry out the Ministry’s work during the year and for that we would like to thank and commend them for the good work and commitment. I believe like King David the Lord the source of good blessings was helping and providing for our needs in so many ways during the past year. Many answers have been answered, many sicknesses have been healed. Some members have got good jobs and their financial problems solved to a degree. Some members were able to receive their relatives whom they have been waiting for. Still some members have even received miracles. Please do not become weary of praising the Lord for his kindness and mercies. PLAN 2007
